California DAR volunteering

Our chapter members are active at the chapter, district, state, and national levels. Kaweah Chapter, NSDAR, generally meets at 1 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month, January through May and September through December.

CONSTITUTION WEEK 
On September 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed by 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia's Independence Hall. Kaweah Chapter, NSDAR, has sponsored an annual Constitution Week Celebration and Luncheon during the week of September 17-23 since 1956. If you are interested in attending, please contact the regent. 

MEMORIAL DAY
Chapter members participate in Memorial Day wreath-laying ceremonies at the Hanford and Visalia Cemeteries.

DAR SERVICE FOR VETERANS
The chapter supports the Veterans Administration Central California Healthcare System (VACCHCS) in Fresno, California, with monetary gifts and personal care items. 

DAR SCHOOLS
The chapter supports the DAR Schools with donations of thrift items and Boxtops for Education.
